trans pan gasket service

Just bought my 89 f250 last year and was looking to do a trans pan gasket service. Curious as to a type and how much fluid I will need for this. Also wondering if anyone has had a similar issue of their truck stuttering or bogging down when the ac or heat is turned on, lights o occasionally dim too. . .?

Not sure on the transmission questions, but the other sounds like possible alternator/regulator or connection issues....coupled with a weak battery.

I believe the fluid type to be Dex/Merc,, but knowing the actual trans would help. As for amount, I don't outright know, and the online guides aren't all that accurate in my experience.

The torque converter holds most of the fluid (we're talking automatic, right?) but I recall only losing 5-6 quarts with dropping the pan.
