Tranny I.D

Pulled the tranny out of my 65 stepside and i was told it was a C-6 but would like to know 100% casting code C6AP-7D027-C anyone have a clue

That isn't the trans code, as that is a servo cover. Post a pic of the complete trans or as mentioned look at the shape of the pan and you will get a better answer.

ID number: C6AP-7D027-C = Ford part number: C6AZ-7D027-C .. C4 Servo Cover.

1965/66 F100/250 240/300 I-6 came with C4's. C4 transmission pan has 11 bolt holes.
