Man what a day lol
I have a '76 F-100 custom, 360, 5.9L 3 speed floor shift. I recently figured out that I have the toploader 3 speed clone, the infamous "Orion" stamped transmission. So I have 2 questions, is this transmission even worth trying to rebuild or would I be better off just finding a true toploader from the boneyard and rebuilding it? and secondly, where can I find the info as far as what spline this transmission is so that I can find a true toploader with the right spline shafts? Any info anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!
The stamps on the trans are as follows if it helps,
Case casting: "Orion" C-2603000
Case tag: RAB-J2
Tailhouse casting: RF-C5AR-7A040-B
