tire question

I just got 5 =16.5 tires like new for free, only problem only 1 =16.5 rim.

Is it possible to mount a 16.5 tire on a 16 '' rim, I put one rim on top of the other, they look like the same size to me. Has anyone ever tried this and lived? Please reply as I will try it tomorrow.

No it isn't.. it is quite unsafe though.

To say the least...NO it's not possible. Secondly...16.5" rims can be picked up pretty cheap. Maybe try a local shop, classifieds, CL, military surplus. I picked up a set at my local 4x4 shop and got a set of chrome Eagle rims for less than $100.

Not reccomended. Pretty sure that the sidewall will even say "DO NOT MOUNT ON 16" WHEEL".
