What do you mean that trim level? I had a 78 that was a Ranger Lariat XLT.......
It's either Ranger Lariat or Ranger XLT...not both.

Nice truck, but how can the cruise control work, when it's not hooked up.
Can you please explain to me how the cruise control works when the chain from the servo is not hooked up to the carb?

It's truly amazing how many times I come across it. Especially when the XLT or Lariat badges are nowhere to be found on the truck. Assumptions can be dangerous. I think they're getting it from the 82-91 trucks, which were the first to have the Lariat option referred to as XLT Lariats by Ford.
I find it to be common because these trucks a 30+ years old, so who knows how they've been pieced together. So if you have a Lariat emblem on the outside and an XLT emblem on the glovebox (or vice versa and whatever other badge combos that can be made)...and don't know any better, I can see where the confusion comes in. That's why I'm thankful for all these guys that have literature and can put facts out there, instead of perpetuating myths, untruths and half truths. And to be quite honest, I don't blame the owners completely, for guys like me that were born 7 years after the last dentside was produced, how am I supposed to know what they came with or how they were setup, unless I buy 5 grand in literature and memorize it all. Or I can come here, show my ignorance and have someone give me the facts. Hell, I know my very first post on a truck site was 'over there'...and I was bound and determined that Ford produced two different F250's from 67-77.5...the hiboy and the regualr...and I was bound and determined to prove my truck was one of the 'rare' ones. And the reason I thought that was because of hearsay, bad info and even talking to guys at local dealerships that didn't know squat. And now 6 years after that post, I've learned so frickin much it ain't even funny. So I don't really have an issue with owner ignorance, as much as I do perpetuating ignorance, or owners who won't admit their ignorance.

Okay which brochures would you like me scan?
I am presently re-doing the 78 because the little weasel stole them all without my watermark on them.
Is that it?
I'm looking for the accessories brochure. I have the 1980 Pickups Brochure, but it only lists a few of the options. I'm interested in seeing the whole spectrum of options.
I thought Camper Specials had an extended wheelbase?
Super Camper Special's had the longer wheel base
And here we have a fine example of automotive ignorance, and a seller who doesn't know how to read the emblems on his truck.
