When we travel to the states, my wife loves going to target. When it came here it seemed like a refreshed zellers that it was replacing. We had three zellers where I live. Target came in and revamped the biggest of the three sites and sold the other two to walmart, which they turned one into a super centre. Now we have three walmarts. Two supper centers and one regular. I'm just waiting for Canadian Tire to go to the super center format.

Not minimum wage, yes to benefits and there is no Gov't aid when you are working for the most part...if you are receiving Gov't aid and working, the amount of aid will be reduced by what you are making while working

I stopped paying into what is now "employment insurance" in 1996.

This also includes those that work "for the system". The more people they sign up for gov't handout, the more secure their job is and if done aggressively, eventually the empire grows. More job security for those on "high paid welfare".

Oh wow. I guess this reinforces some (antisocial to most normal, decent, civilized people) political behaviors, like...when socialist DEMOCRAT prez Lyndon B Johnson, a DEMOCRAT, expanded the welfare/handout/wealth redistribution system here into a program that he called, "The Great Society". The real result is, not "the great society" but rather, the sick society. Except for the people sucking off of it and stealing from good Americans.

I will qualify that.....when the Libs are in....all kinds of wonderful stuff happens....welfare, more taxes for people that work, help for the "downtrodden" and other "special interest groups".....when the PC's are running stuff...the opposite.

My neighbour worked for the Target in Red Deer.
She had just got a promotion 5 days before the announcement.
She was the team leader for stock. Making sure new stock made it to the retail floor as quickly as possible.
Her shift was 5 -noon

She loved the place..i disliked it.
I was in a Target store in California and prices were the same as in Canada but in USD which made Canada cheaper ...meaning even cheaper in Wal-Mart.
