Thats nice, but also god knows who makes their kits they could come from a Basement in China..
Also 393 is pushing the limit of the engine right? once you go so big you start to get slap and the engine starts beating its self apart right?

nah, the 408 is a very safe build...
the 351, can be built up to a 427 i believe, but that is pushing the limits of the motor...

408 is quite popular and pretty reliable...

393, is just stroked, no boring, 408 shares the same stroke i belive as the 393 its just bored not sure how much though...

I have a 393. It is a 351w bored .030 over and a stroked crank with a 3.85 in throw. I couldn't be happier with it. It has around 9 to 1 compression, a mild rv type cam, 4 barrel and headers. It is a torque monster.

I get 7-8 mpg, BUT that is with 38's, 5.13 gears and no overdrive, lol.

Wait I thought your year truck came with OD? its a 95 right? that should a EOD or EOD4?

OD is OK in my book. I just don't think that it is gonna get great gas mileage. It will be a definite improvement though. I am looking for a 5 sp for my truck, so I can have od.

I know of some places on line that make custom AODs that are rated from 300hp to 800hp...
