Strobe lights and the Law.

up hear in NH you cant run blue at all. end of story. thats for cops. red is for emergency personal and volunteer emergency people. purple is for funeral only and green is for i believe state parks and such. the only colors up here that people can use for warning lights and strobes are yellow and white/clear. strobes are legal up here in the headlights and taillights but hvae to be the right color.

In Oregon they can only be White or Amber.

In florida they can only be white or amber. I was the first one at a wreck once. It was right after a curve and since I have cheapo strobes in my headlights n a magnetic RED strobe I threw the red on my hood faced toward oncoming traffic and sat there with my strobes on till the cops got there. luckily no one was hurt. The ironic thing was the woman that got his (who had someone suddenly stop and turn while i was passing them i saw it) was a cop, her husband was a detective and the guy that hit her was a detective and HIS son was a cop that i went to school with. Like I said no one got hurt and traffic slowed way the hell down which I'm glad they did because everyone usually hauls some serious arse through there. Strobes have their place and if you've got a color than amber they also have their place. IMO no judge will make you pay a ticket if the colored strobes were used in good faith.End of semi-rant.

EDIT: trucking if you decide to sell the head/taillight strobes as a kit I'll gladly buy them from you.But you should be alright with the clears just ditch the blues...

Well i will keep them, but will only use them on the job...
And when im bossin through some mud somewhere...
Gotta leave a mark ya know...
The clears will stay though... And amber or yellow, is not a fav color of mine, at all.

I've got a full set for my Exploder I use on the airport...four-corner strobes, flashing headlights, etc.

It's all about not being stupid with their use. I have never turned them on off-airport except when installing them originally.
