Starting in the Spring of 2011 ill be starting school. but not regular college. ill be starting Automotive training to become...... eeeekk..... im gonna get so many flames for this...... a BMW technician.... Anns uncle has offered to help me get in as he is a tech that sits at home and when a dealership has a problem they turn to him....

well anyways. the course is a 6 month program and after its done you get a job for sure for 1 year. and after that year they determine if youve learned enough to continue working at the dealership and if so then your permenant.

i dont have to pay for the schooling BMW and the dealership split the costs and all i have to pay for is a roof over my head and food in my belly.

and the biggest thing bout the program. very few people get in. just a select few. its aparently very prestigous.

but all in all im happy. ill still be a Ford guy always at home but at work ill be working on BMWs....

but yeah just wanted to let everyone know...

i am terrible with vehicle electrical.

Then German cars should provide a good...learning opportunity for you.

Congrats, though. I've never worked on a BMW that wasn't old when I was born...or one with four wheels. Heck, I'm not sure I've ever even BEEN in a BWM with four wheels.

Service isn't something they're known for avoiding... Should be a great gig if you can stand waiting that long.

Congrats man...hope it works out for you...and I like Chris' idea. Personally, the tools in my tool box only fit Blue Ovals, so I hope you have more tools than I do.

You won't need heavy duty tools for those sissy cars. Haven't you heard the expression: "My lug nuts take more torque than your engine puts out."
