Starter's Goin out

NOT lookin forward to buyin a new one...searched through NAPA AutoZone and Discount....discount is cheapest at 104 bucks....OUCH. I'd love to throw an older starter in there....bout 60 bucks LESS......:rotz:

Just Have it rebuilt $45 buck here . I have starter and alt on shelf all time ready to go (People call me for them at times. ). Last one lasted 4 years and just bendix went bad .

Have yours rebuilt, or do it yourself. It's not that difficult.

I pulled mine apart and cleaned the internals out real good...I'll have to find the kit to rebuild it...completely forgot about doin that thanks Tony....and Larry...Chris...not everyone has a hundred bucks to throw out the window....cheaper to do it myself.

Not only cheaper, but more satisfying. Many people can replace their starters. Few can rebuild them.

Its not as bad as it was. The swelling is down enough so they did a good x ray today. Nothing torn. Just a bad strain. No masturbation for 2 weeks. :(
