I was going to fool around with my dash and put autometer gauges in the dash and I'm having trouble with the speedometer. I found an adapter that I could use to adapt the stock speedo cable to the autometer speedo, but unforunately it is no longer available. So now, I'm thinking I need an entire new cable. The problem I'm having there is no one makes a 118" cable that I need. I'm going to start making calls to some companies, but just wondering if anyone has any insight to where I could get a new cable made or make the stock one work.

Buck,
While I did not put Autometer gauges in my truck, I did need a new speedometer cable when I replaced the factory dielectric board and installed all new factory gauges in 2006. Instead of buying a new cable from the dealer or on-line, I went to a place here in Phoenix that's been around for a very long time. It's called "Dick's Speed-O-Tach." Their phone number is 602 279 6463. It's worth a call as they very likely may be able to build you the speedometer cable you want. 75hiboy
