I prefer to pull the whole damned engine!

Oh and changing out to a set of PI heads while I have it out this time as well.

A little marring on the top of the piston. But nothing major.

OUCH! Got a little thin on one side when drilling in the helicoil and BAM blew out the side of the spark plug hole!

Funny thing is, I shouldn't have even been out there today! LOL My Dr. ran a stress test yesterday and I have to go in for a MRI of the head to check for bleeding on the brain tomorrow! She kind of frowned when I told her to make it for tomorrow instead of today, since I still had to finish pulling the motor! LMAO

if I'm not mistaken (which is possible cause not big on mod engines) they have bigger valves and bigger ports

Difference is the "Power Improved" head design was redesigned to get rid of a "dead" spot in the flow of the head around the spark plug. I will get some side by sides tomorrow for ya. IIRC the non PI heads have a 42CC bowl and the PI head has a 47CC bowl. I am going to be curious to see the dif. I also have been trying to find out if the cam profiles are the same or if I could use the non PI cam to potentially flow better on the PI head setup. IDK but I am diggin around to see what I can come up with...

I`ve even heard rumors of taxis and cop car engines having cross hatch after 3 or 400 thou.

I cant imagine the actual hours on a cop car engine that has 400k on the clock, i know those cars spend ALOT of time just sitting and ideling...
