Drilled holes and screwed them all in on both running boards. I'm finishing up the wiring tomorrow, they are being wired to a nice big toggle switch I bought smilieFordlogo

Yea Baby, those look awesome Mike!!!! Nice, very nice!! Your truck is going to look soooo cool at dusk when you go on your "eco" cruz, lol. Curious, do you have the red lights at the back? the ones between the tailgate and rear bumper, I was thinking of doing that, but to keep competitive, I'm doing it for sure,:wavey:

truck stops, here we come!

Thanks Ryan and Roy! I will definitely be taking some night pics tonight and posting them up.

Unfortunately I do not have the tailgate lights, I have also been thinking about those :wavey: I was going to buy these lights from Iowa 80 Truckstop's website, but I found them for almost $4 cheaper per light at Home Depot! (Picked up my wiring, fuse taps, wire crimps, and toggle switch at Radio Shack.)

BTW, I just finished the wiring and toggle switch mounting :cooldude:

Here you go, Mike. Don't mean to hijack. Not quite dark, yet, but there is a storm coming. Mine also aren't LED's.

Those look great Doug! Are the rear lights in strips or individual? How did you wire them or do they plug into the trailer light plug?

Aww, come on you two, those running board lights change the total appearance of your trucks, I am so drooling!!

just wondering, but can I not get power for the rear markers from the license plate light wire?

I see around here that more and more guys are adding all the markers to their trucks and I really like the look! YelloThumbUp

I think you should be able to, I know if you want them to turn on with your parking lights, you can tap into the wire (On my truck it's brown colored) for trailers and their respective lighting on the underside of the truck.

Thanks, Mike. They were already installed when I bought the truck about 4 years ago. They are in strips of 3 on each side. The wiring was hacked into the taillights with scotchloks. :headbang: I need to redo the wiring. I also noticed yesterday that the running board lights on the driver's side no longer work, and it's going to be a pain to disconnect the strip from the running board.

Thanks, Roy. Yes, you could probably tap into EITHER the licenseplate lights or the taillights

I think I have enough lights.............for now!

No problems at all! smiliepeelout
Plus, they are LED lights so they draw very little power. I have them wired to a nice big light up toggle switch too :cooldude:

Doug - I wish you the best of luck with re wiring, it's a pain!
