The guys says the dealership didn't know what they had...I'm sure they knew...but the 210k on the odo was scaring them. Does look like a good buy at about a max of 5k.

Body work is cheap compared to engine/tranny/axle rebuilds.

The last paint job I got was $1400 for my old truck no body work .

Its so easy to find parts trucks here For under. I have had over 200000 on last 3 trucks .

Touche...there's an abundance of parts trucks here...but seeing as I typically like to go new instead of just swapping, engine and tranny rebuilds get pricey...and axle rebuilds aren't too cheap either. So that's why I said what I did. Engine rebuild parts lists for me usually exceed 3k, tranny rebuilds so far have been 8-1400, axles have been 800. So body panels are cheap compared to that.

Or pulling one and adding NEW go fast parts...hahahaha. But I hear ya...as a matter of fact, over Christmas, I had to swap the 96's 460 with one out of a 91...GASP...but it needed to get back on the road, so my dad's buddy had one with 80k on the clock for $500...so we did it. Now the ol 460 is on an engine stand waiting to get rebuilt the right way.

so thats what chris' truck would look like when it goes offroading huh?

Chris' barely has more than 100k on it, that truck is thoroughly used up. And Chris thought he had a bad tailgate panel... :rolling laugh:

I love the Centurion badges though. :D

If you think that truck is used up come to the rust belt . Its a 9 out of 10 here in the body condition .

I have 200000 plus on mine and will take it anywhere.

It had em after Centurion finished with it. The prev owner ripped em off, along with the retro looking 4x4 decals. Gotte say I think he made the right choice-- I much prefer the clean body with less clutter from decals and badges. If I had it my way I'd rip the trim pieces off the sides of the truck and the tailgate panel too. The more visible paint, the better YelloThumbUp

I agree...I can't stand cheeeeeeeezy stickers...like having a sticker will make the truck more capable. Side note, when Dad ordered Thunder...he had to pay Ford $250 extra to NOT put the decals on. As for the trim...that's another story...trim adds elegance with a hint of flash.
