I think i'm going to try this on my Bronco :D

I hope you do...you can never go wrong with bigger meats. And I really do hope this can help some other folks out.

I wonder if it would work on my 96 f-150 to clear some 32 or 33's...

It should if the only clearance issue you have is the front bumper. But I'm not familiar with 150 suspensions, so I dunno if a tire would rub on the inside.

Paco you should be able to clear them fine. I run 33's on my bronco without shimming, cutting, lift or leveling kit. I have yet to have them rub. But i do have the dual shocks but idk if that makes a difference.

Hmmm! I might have to check into this further before I but tires. Atleast I could get some daystar coil leveling bushings to bring the front up level. How wide of tires are you running Mike?

I used to work on an 83 Bronco and the 33" tires rubbed on the radius arm, not on the bumper.

Ryan

I also believe on the 83, the fender will be a problem before the bumper would be. This trick only works for 87-97 trucks (except '97 150's and 250 LD's)

Food for thought-- I've got a 95 F150 with a 4 inch lift (2.5" in front) and my 33/12.5's get DAMN close to clipping my fender when turning from side to side. This is the only reason that I haven't already upgraded to 35s.

Ive got about a inch gap between the back side of my front fender and my tire. Had my truck today at a really flexed angle on a snow pile today at work and it wasnt even close.

The rear of your truck sits up higher than the front?

Crap no I got it backwards. 4 in front, 2.5 in back.

And the part of my tire that gets real close to the fender is the INNER corner of the tire when I've got it turned inward.
