Ouch...that hurts...but since you repped me, I'll let it slide. I personally think outta the box, the 390 is a quicker/faster engine than the 400. But that could be because the only only experience I have with a 390 is in a 2wd. So seeing as the 400 was available for 4x4's and the 390 wasn't I can't compare apples to apples. But I think the 400 is definitely an easier build and has waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more potential considering the square bore and stroke...and has a bigger aftermarket following.
