Selling mint condition 1986 F-350 (28K miles) - Where to list?

Hello!

I am selling a mint condition 1986 Ford F-350 with only $28,000 miles. It was purchased new for $18,000 and $12,000 was spent on upgrades and modifications. I am wondering where the best place to list something like this (classic Ford truck) would be. I am also trying to figure out an asking price as it isn't something I can just look up on NADA. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

That is a BEAUTIFUL truck.

Actually NADA does have a price guide for older vehicles, but you may be disappointed in their assessment of what the vehicle is worth.

The first place to start is getting an appraisal. Those can be relatively inaccurate though and can be skewed based on the quality of the appraiser. The next biggest thing will be can you prove the 28,000 miles. How am I supposed to know you didn't just get a new gauge cluster or roll the odo and you're good at detailing. The difficult part is you just don't see those trucks being restored to top condition or remaining in mint condition. Rarity can be a good thing, but it can also mean no one cares. It's a great looking truck, definitely has some 80's styling cues and the 4x4 badge on the door is an eye sore, but I know in the 73-79 truck world a comparable condition truck could swing 15k pretty easy right now. I think at this point in time you'll need to research every auction you can find these trucks in (and more than just ebay) to nail down a price.

Guys, this truck has been for sale on practically every forum I have ever been on. It has never sold, and is always just as beautiful, no matter where he posts it.

I venture to say, he is just out to get someone's hard earned money.
