It doesn't depend on year, it depends on axle... What axles are they using in those trucks?

LP and HP D60 fronts, HP D44 fronts, 9" rears, D60 rears. Seeing as they only had 3.55's or 4.10's in 4x4's of those years...I don't see why they'd do a 3.73 cut off. But I know for a fact that the cutoff for 73-79 is 4.10.

Didnt they do d70 rears in the 1 tons?

Yeah...in the 2by's...not in one ton 4x4's. I know there was anything available from 3.08's on up to 4.10's for 2by's...so I dunno if that would have any bearing on the carrier cut off for them. It just doesn't seem like it would make sense to make a cutoff something that isn't even an available gear set though. Unlike...in '96, 3.73 was an available gear ratio for Thunder...so I can understand that cutoff, and that's a D60 front as well.

Yeah it looks like your right. The front D60 has a "4.10 and down" / "4.56 and up" cutoff. Never new that :)

Looks to be the same for front D44's and 9" too. Which brings a question to mind...WTF kinda axles do you have in yours Chris? You have a stretched 150 right? So do you have the same corresponding axles?

Alright I couldnt remember wether they put em in the 4 bys or not.

Only if you believe the ebay ads...haha.

Front = D44 TTB, Rear = Ford 8.8

Same as any other F150 from my generation.
