salutations from Mt Vernon, WA

here's a vintage Ford that I don't think the like of which is seen here very often

1975 F-600 4x4 set up as an incident command unit originally from the Enumclaw, WA fire and police departments. The truck came to be in October last year from the man who purchased the truck at auction from the state several years previous. Except for the body being gutted by him to convert to a rolling mining cabin which he never did, the truck is bone stock with the following specs:

VIN: F66DVV61153
WB: 176:
COLOR: M
TYPE/GVW: F661
BODY: 438
TRANS: M
AXLE: 53J
MAX GVW: 24000#

ENGINE: 330XD FT block with 2v carb
TRANS: CLARKE 285V 5 SPD
AXLES: ROCKWELL 70FDS(front) & 75HDX(rear)
TRANSFER CASE: ROCKWELL T-22?
WINCH: RAMSEY 12000# PTO

It also has twin ONAN 4kW generators.

a whole lot of other pics on Picasa here

What I am hoping to find out is what company built the body and if they are still around today? Anyone else here seen or have another like mine?

Welcome to FTF - that would make a really neat camper conversion

very cool, what are your plans for it.

Well truth be told, I am now also the owner of a Kaiser M54A2 5ton 6x6 which I won at GSA Auctions thus I have suddenly become a two project truck man with resources only for one, so I am starting to quietly look to see what interest there might be for me to sell this one? If I can't get a price I feel ok with (I'm asking $5900) I will likely keep it and then sell the other this fall.

my other truck

I all honestly, who on earth really needs a 5ton six wheel drive truck unless you're in the military or doing heavy civil construction? Still, they are both awesome rigs and it will be hell for me to see one drive away someday. the most important thing is that when one drives away, it goes to a better place!
