This is a sad for me but I guess its life. I am going to sale me truck I just purchased last month, been looking for a Ford project for about a year now. Just found what I wanted and as life has a way of slaping you in the face I'm going to have to sell it. Due to some unforseen issues I am not going to be able to put the time and money into it and I simply refuse to just park it up and allow it to rot. I would reather sell it to somebody cheap who will spend the time and money on it than see such a good truck go to waste.
Here is what I have. I will post what pics I have.
1976 F-150 Ranger XLT, 390 4-bbl, C-6 w/ 3.00 geared 9". The man I bought it from rep it as having 56,000 org miles. No idea if thats correct or not what I do know is I drove it 160 miles home at 70 to 75 mph on the highway and it runs and drives perfect belive it or not it got 15.6 mpg on the trip no.
New items include front and rear brakes including new front rubber lines, new plugs, wires, dist cap and rotor. New started and slenoid. everything on the truck work as it should including the AC,power stearing, power brakes, all lights, blinkers ever interrior light comes on when you open the door.
The day I got the truck home I started work on it. My intent was to do the inside first and then the body. I started striping the inside out to get ready for paint. You can still drive it but I have already removed the complete dash assy, headliner, driver and passanger door & vent glasses, door panels and so on. what is still in the truck is windshield [which has a crack in it] back glass, seat, carpet and stearing colm assy. Like I said it starts and drives but 90% in the interrior is out of the truck. I have everything and all screws and hardware is in labeled baggies.
I paid $1500.00 for the truck and have spent another $850.00 or so on the new running gear items above.
I would love to just get my $1500.00 back but the truck must be sold reguardless of what I get. If anybody is interested in making me a offer feel free. Like I said I am going to sell it reguardless of what it brings. SOON. I'm in centrel Louisiana.
Inside pictures is of corse before I remove ent.
