RSS (reverse sensor switch)

The RSS (reverse sensor switch) works ,but the switch on the dash that turns the system & the beeper off doesnt shut it off nor does the off light on the switch go on. I have tried replacing the switch with a new one, with no luck. Does anyone know anything regarding this problem?

What year is your truck, options level (harley/lariat/xlt)? This is the reverse system that warns you of rear obstructions, right?
