Okay, fuel pickup tube problem?

NOPE!!!!!!! Gonna call it! Remember, on an older Chev 350, the fuel pump bolts to the side of the motor. A leaky pump would leak into the oil pan, putting a lot of fuel into it. The fuel in the pan makes a lot of fumes, that the pcv valve picks up. PCV valve in, runs so rich it wont run. Pull out the pcv valve, it runs. BAD PUMP!

Now that you say it, dad had this problem with his 4 bolt 350.

so obvious too. I never get the obvious stuff. And every time you said remember the vehicle I was trying to think of why would it being a Chevy be the problem LOL

If anything, the leaking FP did the guy a favor, he'll have ALOT less sludge and buildup and an all-around cleaner oiling system in his truck.....
