1974 Chev 350 V8(I know, I know). Automatic trans 2WD. Customer brings it in, wont stay running. Remove pcv valve from valve cover, stays running, runs good, no noise. 1 part responsible, ready?..................GO!

EGR would most likely be constant, wouldnt make a difference plugged in or unplugged. Remember the vehicle.EGR,,,,,,,,,,,,,

PCV valve works fine, because it changes when unplugged. Poor vacuum would be plugged in or not.Defective PCV valve? Poor Vacuum?
Isn't there a PCV filter in the air cleaner too? If so, could it be oil soaked?
No noise (I actually had one of these with this issue)was there noise before ?

Vacuum advance would probably work the other direction, unplug, and the engine quitting.Isn't there a vacuum advance on that thing? Vacuum advance diaphram bad?
EDIT: So that must mean it's a fuel iskew....
