Rough Starting / Rough Idle at warm

I have a 2007 F350 Diesel with about 53,000 miles....lately when starting she is real rough at idle. Almost like its not firing on all cylinders. After letting the truck warm up for a long while it runs OK.....shifts hard for a little longer...but runs on.

common?
troubles ahead?

How is it at cold start? Is it more of a problem cold or warm? Or does it not make a difference? Any smoke? If so, color/smell is important. Any check engine light? Have you had battery/charging system issues recently?

Cold start its ROUGH.
More of a problem COLD..once it warms up runs good
no lights on dash at all
no battery / charging system problems.

Theres a reflash that repairs the injector stiction issue (cold start). If its updated fully, more diagnosis is needed. Where are you at?

I would recomend checking to see if there are any codes present when the trucks are cold, if you have a p0611 or all 8 injector codes the ficm may be faulty or in need of a reflash. If you know anyone with a scan tool that will show pid data you can watch the FICM_M power to see if it drops below 45volts when the truck is cold key on engine off. Low Ficm_M power will cause the truck to start hard and run rough untill it warms up.
