rough idle

I have a 2003 f250 with a 5.4 v8. When I start it cold it idles rough for about 30 - 60 sec. then will smooth out and seems to run fine , sometimes when it is idling rough I can smell gas. Can someone tell me what it might be. Thanks

Leaking injector comes to mind. Next time you start it cold, be under the hood and look at all injectors inspecting for leaks.

Yeah, it could be injector not closing properly or some parts are failing. Update us when you check.
