Hey All Down in Arizona working on f100 1974 302 3 on the tree.
This Old girl was left on 10 acres i purchased 2 years a ago. She was beat up and didn't run i found the keys on the dash under a a lot of mouse droppings put a battery in her and some gas in the carb and she fired right up, so i decided she was meant to live again. This is what i have done so far. 1. rebuilt the 302 2. Power washed the whole rig 3. replaced repaired all body panels and repainted her ford red. 4. Spent a lot of time rebuilding the steering column linkage and the transmission 5. I have finished the all the wiring for the lights ignition system etc.
So now i am about to tackle the gauges which none of them work at this time except the charging light. Feel gauge always at zero, water temp at zero, I have checked all of the fuses and connections. Question water temp gauge should peg out if i ground the sender wire? same with the fuel gauge? thanks for any help or thoughts on this going to now search the site for other posts on this cheers!
