Resto Update on Big Red

So I finally had some time to work on her. I drove it into the garage with open shorty headers, and then went to work, put on new long tubes, make my Y pipe, made the header back to Y pipe, then made the exhaust system. As usual with me, 1 long tube didnt fit and hit the trans pan again like my old set, so there i went and cut all 4 tubes and hand crafted it so it sits away from the pan, so I can get it down unlike last time, and so the driveshaft doesnt hit then. Then everything went as planned. Exhaust goes 2.5 into a 3" home made Y and then a Thrush Welded muffler out the side. I didnt have a tip so I just cut the pipe to match the bed line for now. That pipe is just tacked in just incase I have to remove it. Here are some pics, also fenderd and rad support are on, and my new wheels and tires are on.

How you like the O2 ontop of the pipe? Lol

Not yet lol, been too busy with other side jobs to get this done. Was a wonder I got that exhaust made. I love to make exhausts, just hate then I have to modify the headers. Its a pain to weld all them tubes.

Good job man.. You are right about exhaust work, it does suck. Very time consuming ad like a jigsaw puzzle. Even worse when trying to make headers from another vehicle fit.....

There not from another vehicle, there from summit for my year and engine and so forth. I have done 5 long tube installs in total on our gen, and 1 set fit. I got then at a swap meet for 40 bucks, all the other ones didnt fit and had to make changes in the primarys.
