They didn't raise. They are about as low as the old worn out ones. I ordered an add-a-leaf to see what that does. I recommend the heavier ones if you can choose...
Just put my springs in today! Rides real strong now. I also had to replace one of my shackles, i need to do the other ones too but i replaced the worst one for now!
Heres some pics, and boy was i lucky the spring didnt shoot through my bed.. heres the old spring and old shackle.
Oh, ryan, the reason the new springs sit as low as your worn out ones is because you got the wrong springs... the ones you had on there were 5 leaf, the ones you bought were 4 leaf.. the add a leaf shoulf fix that for you
oh wow, yeah good thing you did replace the springs! mine are still original from 1989 as well as the shackles and hangers haha not sure HOW they are not rotted out like everything else up here is but my truck is lucky!...minus the rocker panel...im hoping to get new springs for my truck this summer because when i put the posi in i dont want the MASSIVE wheel hop i have no.. makes me look dumb doing a burnout while hopping....
I found that getting all the factory coating/paint off the hangers when it starts to peel helps. My 93 is rusted about as bad as it gets and the frame /hangers/coil towers r still solid .
