Renting a trailer...

^^^I call bull chit on it being an 'unusual circumstance'...there have been a few times where I've tried renting a tow dolly and they refused because the vehicle exceeded their parameters. I've been told 'no' more often by U-Haul than I have 'yes'. Now I just tell them what they want to hear...well haven't used them recently, but the last cpouple of cases were trying to retrieve the 87 Bronco and the 73 waggy.

Yes, I have hauled full-size ford pickups and vans on carhaulers that were a toyota tercel on paper.

OK, call me Captain Obvious, but WTH are you taking with you to college that requires that much space? Believe me, there's one place where less really is more when it comes to stuff.

We got Jenny moved with the pickup and the Marquis, one trip.

I've got a full living room and bedroom; they don't have dorms or anything of the like.

Damn...luckyyyyyyy. Only stuff my apartments came with were mattresses and major appliances...outside of that, all of the family room stuff (tv's couches, etc.), all the kitchen stuff (pots, pans, etc.), all the computer room stuff (computers, desks, etc.), all the bedroom stuff (clothes mainly) plus whatever else a college age male acquires through his travels, not to mention my tool boxes and spare parts had to find a place as well. Every time I moved, it moved. My first summer at UT, my living arrangements weren't set in stone and I had to get 2 10x10 storage units until I found a place. My final excursion home, was stretched over the course of about a month, with Bailee bringing stuff home every weekend for me, I made a couple trips home with the Bronco and made 3 more trips back and forth in the Jeep.

Now you could shove the receiver from the Geo into the receiver of your truck and carry it around for a spare.

Hahaha....good one....now that would be a great picture.

It was so long ago, but I think it was a 8-10 ft Uhaul trailer and it was loaded down big time....made it cross country.

I couldn't find a picture online of one pulling a trailer but found one that was exactly like the one I owned....what a POS it was!
