Recall

Ok i went to the dealership. Asked them to install the new pigtail. He went to my truck and got the VIN, then typed it into the computer, and it didnt show anything up that there was a recall for my vin.

So he asked if i already had a pigtail installed and i said no not since ive owned it, but there is a pigtail on there now. So we went out to my truck and hes like yea this is the recall and you should be fine, then pluged everything back in....

Whats up with that? Should i go to a different dealership?

There are some that the fuse needed to be on the other wire. If it doesn't show up, yours probably wasnt one that is included.

I'm just really glad my trucks are old enough not to have to worry about this.

They will not work on them here if you don't have the recall letter.. Go figure.

yea the guy asked if i had the letter to, but i said no and he didnt seamed to worried about it. I kinda think that letter is BS simply because i NEVER recieve any letters from ford motor regarding any recalls, and niether does my dad. I see it as if the truck is sitting out there in the parking lot, then its your job to fix it. If it burns down then its their asses.

Thats what i told the guy that the OK'ed it and if anything happens to it thats the first place im running to.

He punched the vin up on the computer and it didnt say anything bout any recalls regarding my vin. So i guess im good.
