Rear lift

I now see why not to do bigger blocks in the rear to gain 2". Because my truck is 13 years old I'm thinking of getting a whole new leaf spring instead of an add a leaf. I can only find a leaf spring with 4" of lift above factory and I'm only looking for 2". Would it hurt anything just to take the 2" factory blocks off which would give me 2" of lift?

Rear lift help please

They can incorporate the blocks but them I'm 2" higher than I want to be. Taking the blocks out of the equation will give me the 2" that I want. I have 35's on there now. That's all I want I do some heavy towing and this is my everyday truck

Posting a second thread won't mean that someone will answer your question faster, you'll just piss people off.

No problem removing blocks. Use new, shorter U-bolts.

Do the new lift springs incorporate the factory block or not? If they don't, then your problem still isn't solved.

13 years old, you're truck is new!! Rough Country will set you up with everything you need if you order the complete suspension kit. Go with the 4" and you will not be disappointed, many benefits, like for future wheel and tire upgrades. I had a 4" on one of my trucks and it is just the perfect balance, better than stock but not to high to access the truck bed.
