rear end 76 f250

Good day all,I picked a real nice 1976 f250 custom from Vancouver Island that will be delivered next week. I asked the owner to send a pic of the vin plate which he did as I was interested in what rear end was in that truck.
The vin plate axle code says b4, but I only have books for 78/9 trucks and according to that it would be a 4.10 posi dana 60. Am I right or did the numbers change from 76 to 79 in the ford books?

Yeah...I'm getting a D60 4.10 with limited slip with a 5300# capacity.

oky doky thank you for the info, not too fond of the 4.10 gears for highway but the locking diff will come in handy.

Not exactly a locking diff, trak-lok is a limited slip diff and after a certain amount of tq application, it'll react the same as an open diff. And if you want to drop those high rpm, just throw a set of 37's on the rear and call it good...haha.
