Ranger Transmission wont go back in. Need help

I just replaced the Slave cylinder in my ranger and now I can not get the Transmission back in. The slave Cylinder is tight to the clutch but I still have two inches to go to get it bolted in. What do I do now??

Did you use the alignment tool? Find like the splines aren't lining up. How does the pilot being look you didn't buggee it up did you.
