Yes Workin they will swap...I highly suggest you go with the cargo type coils for the rear, this will raise the rear level to the front, and keep it there over time.It does not affect the driving characteristics, and aids it from bottoming out the rear, these cars had a sagging issue with the stockers.

Thank you, that will be a mod that i will plan on in the future....I would like to throw a trailer hitch on it to tow my boat or future ATVs long distances (the ol F250 isnt the most comfy). So it would help with that to.

Im not planning on hoooking like 4000lbs behind it (athough according the brochure they could handle 6K), maybe 2500-3000 max.

Dont mean to highjack your thread Workin...but to give you some inspiration on yours..No its not a LTDII but its sister car the 79 Cougar,Pic is from 06 after the car was completed...I had the kids from Timken High School Auto Body class of 06 (I worked there as a custodian/fireman) restore the car..I paid 300 bucks for it,bought it from its original owner.in short it had scale and alot of surface rust..but very solid candidate...I added the rims and tires, brake and fuel lines, the Cargo coils i mentioned above,4brl,headers and duals on the 302.I used "simple green" to scrub the seats and carpet to bring it back to like new condition. It was a very nice cruiser

Thank you Justin..the kids did quite well on it..when i showed it to the previous owner once completed..he broke down in tears man...Over the yrs ive had 6 variations of the model..starting with the 72 Gran Torino i bought from dad..Many use to make fun of me as well for taking a family sedan and transforming it to a steller street machine.Daring to be different is what i am all about...

NIce, nice, nice looking cougar man. I almost bought a 77 XR7 a few years back, fire engine red, brougham package, with like 45,000 old man original miles....he wanted 4500 for it which i thought was steep though....kinda wish ida coughed it up.

These cars are awesome. I drove a 77 T Bird for awhile in college and loved it. Why I sold it and bought a 91 Cavalier was probably to dumbest mistake I made, but the tranny in the T bird was slipping and the MPG wasn't great and as a poor college kid, I guess I needed something more economical. Wish I had that car back. My brothers had the Cougars and Galaxies and loved those as well. This gets me to thinking, I should get one of these cars for my son and restore it once I get my projects done.
