Put Street/Strip Springs In

Well I wanted to change the seprator plate gaskets and I decided to put in the street strip springs. Kit says to only put 2 in, I put 3 in. I had to order another kit to get the gaskets, so I had spair Street/Strip from my 1st kit, and the 2 from the new kit. So I have the street/strip springs in for 1-2 2-3 and 3-od lol. I figured the shifts would be super hard, but you know what, there supper snappy and fast. It doesnt jar me at all, I know the 200 buck used trans that was supposed to be rebuilt might not be as the shifts arnt crazy, but there like my fav shifts ive seen out of a E4OD. Ill have to take some videos, and I also put in a deep pan, same as Chris. Derale pan is nice. The pan was leakin this mornin out of 1 bolt. I retightened it and I think it stopped. Anyway will eventually get pics.

Yeah my pan leaked at first too... It was because I used the crappy gasket that came with it After It started leaking I took a look and the gasket has splits in SEVERAL places. Mind you-- that was only 1 or 2 days after I installed it.

Went to the dealership and got a Motorcraft cork gasket and it's never leaked another drop

As for the springs... I didn't realize each spring was 1 gearshift! My 1-2 shift is nasty and I'd almost like to swap the stock spring back in for that shift...

Yeah man, it feels very hesitant and mechanical, not smooth at all.

Wierd, taked to Chris today, yea hes got to do some research and see what spring is for what gear.
