Hi, Im Adam.
New to the site but not so new to old Fords...
I recently acquired a 1975 F-100 Ranger XLT 4X4.
It leaks power steering fluid like crazy. The box is toast and so is the bar the runs across where the fluid goes into. I have no idea what its called.
Now finding decent replacement parts are insanely hard. My question is,
If I take the steering front end out of a 78 F-100 gear box linkage and all it should be just bolt in right? Has anyone ever tried this?
Easiest way to explain what I currently have in truck is a gear bos mounted to side of frame and from that runs 2 hoses to a bar that runs across where the linkage is. it also has a steering dampner type thing connected to it.
Any ideas? Thanks
