yup i bought it on criagslist. the guy posted once or twice on this site actually! but hes mostly on fullsizebronco since he has a bronco. guess hes doing a ZF swap in the bronco from an auto. but bought this first and now doesnt need it. i took the top off to examine the gears when i got home and they are in mint condition! although since i have the tranny out for now i want to replace the front bearing. is this difficult?

also when i took the top off that has the forks to examine the gears, i put it all back together and now it doesnt shift.....'smiliedoh' i did move around the 2 shift gears on the 2 shafts to see if they have play though...ill be looking more into it sometime this weekend

Cool...

Not positive on the front bearing...I know when it went out on my Ranger transmission, I talked to a mechanic who said he had done it before and probably could do it again (rigging something up with a slide hammer)...but couldn't guarantee it'd work. Since the rest of the trans had 220k and worn synchros, I decided not to bother trying.

will someone that knows what they're talking about do a little arrow diagram deal of what we're looking at.

haha ok so basically i moved the shift rings inside the transmission and now it wont shift...but i can still shift them when i take the top off.
