Parts Truck

Im getting me a parts truck.It is a 79 F100.It has a good body.it has a 360 or 390 guess I will find out which when I get it home.C6 trans.AC even has the door pockets on it.Going to take it and my truck to make me one truck.Wished it was a 4X4 but oh well.Here is a couple pics of it.

I guess somewhere down the line it got changed into it.I will have to see if I can figure out how to find the date of the engine.
When was the last year they put FEs in these truck?

76 was the last year for FEs period. I think they closed the factory around 79-80...

76 was the last year for the FE engine which would be the 360 / 390 engine family, 77 was the first year of 351M / 400 family of engines, the 351M took the place of the 360, and the 400 took the place of the 390. Hopefully you and everyone else finds this helpful.

Actually the 400 debuted in 1971-72 but it was for a car and yes 1977 was for the trucks.
The 71-72 400 was the most wanted 400.
