One of the issues I've had finding some parts is that Ford changed part numbers after updating etc.
A good example of that are the engine mounts for the 351M/400's...if you try to find the original part # chances are you will come up empty handed.
I've been looking for a set of the manuals for some time and finally found them...so this should help us Gen 6 guys (and others) out!
Got the whole lot from 1986 back.

Still Da Man
I have two of yours and what I think is an older one with a yellow cover.
Edit .....#3.

Supercede catalogs can be found at swap meets all the time.

I don't have time to wander around swap meets and they are few and far between (swap meets)...but more importantly, once I get around to scanning this stuff, everybody will have access to it without having to rely on anyone else....which will be a good thing for all.

Great find Duncan.

Thanks Mark!

Why?
If you have the C/D of the 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog (scanned from a 10/1979 loose leaf paper catalog), you already have the correct part numbers.

And...if you look under 302, the same 351M/400 2WD part numbers for the 6028 & 6029 engine supports are listed.

The thing is, those OSI catalogs you bought won't solve all the problems, because...

In the late 1980's, FoMoCo changed the package quantity of a gazillion parts. When the IDIOTS did this, they changed the part numbers suffixes, rendering all the previous part numbers OBSOLETE!

How many of these new part numbers will be listed in a 1986 OSI catalog?

I have the 10/88 final edition of the 1973/79 catalog on microfiche and a 1990 OSI catalog...also on microfiche.

You need the 1990 OSI catalog, because it contains all the replaced part numbers back into the 1940's.

The other problem is, the 10/1979 edition of the 1973/79 catalog has errors and omissions. I bought this C/D last April, just to post pics from it. Otherwise I don't normally rely on it.

See if you can find the replaced part number for this: D0TZ-7B097-A .. And see if you can find the two part numbers that D0TZ-7B097-A replaced.

No, I got them...and a lot more when I cleaned out Pasadena Ford in August 2008. All the extra microfiche slides I had, I passed along to...guess who. :rotz:
