I keep gettin oil on/in my TPS from inside the intake....any ideas as to what's causing this?NO I do not have the tube going from the oil fill to the intake hose........

Is it engine oil or air filter oil? (I'm not sure what kind of filter you have).

And how do you not have the breather hose? Did you remove it? My truck has one that stems from the filler neck on the driverside valve cover and it's just a short little hose that stems into the middle of my intake hose (if I remember correctly). It's so that the engine can burn off any fuel fumes in the crankcase.

I believe some trucks have the breather going directly to the airbox where it has a smaller filter in the bottom.

That's a good one, I don't know how oil would be getting in to the Throttle position sensor...
Do you have any blow by?

If it's engine oil-- the oil way that could be happening is through the crankcase ventilation breather (the hose I was talking about before).

if you use a larger funnel and pour all the oil in quickly (like from a big jug) it backs up and comes through the breather hose..

and yeh skan, that is to burn the gasses from the crank.. PCV Valve or Possitive Crank Ventilation valve is somewhere here too

Actually kind of funny, just looked it up.. ford put out a TSB about oil entering PCV system

You would have to have a worn throttle plate shaft/bushing for anything to get to the TPS. And even then, I would expect a vacuum leak, not anything going out of the throttle body.

I DO NOT have the hose from the filler neck to the intake.......why?because i put roller rockers on my truck....and to clear them i put late 70's model VC's on it......Bob where is this bushing located and what vacuum leak can i expect this from????From the vacuum tree mounted onto the Upper Intake?

The bushing would be in the throttle body, the throttle plate shaft goes through them.

its aimed at air powered oil delivery systems.. but

95-5-14

Code:
ISSUE:
Oil may be forced through the engine PCV closure system into the intake manifold
when refilling the crankcase using an air powered oil delivery system. This may
occur if the nozzle of the oil delivery system is directed toward the PCV closure
port. Oil entering the closure hose/intake manifold may be drawn into the cylinders
during start-up creating hydrostatic forces on the pistons, connecting rods and
crankshaft. These fluid forces can cause engine part damage and possible engine
"no-runs".

ACTION:
To prevent oil from entering the PCV system during air powered oil fills, the closure
hose should be disconnected from the oil fill pipe and positioned away from the
oil source. Cover the hose port with a shop towel to prevent oil from spilling onto
the engine during oil fill. Reconnect the closure hose after the oil has been filled to
the proper level.
