Off the lot pricing

So im sitting here bored, and got to wondering: What did my truck cost new, approximately? Heres the specs:

1977 f150 4X4, custom (Trim package)
400, c6, np205
long box, regular cab
not a lot of options: am radio, the stylish morrors (Those tiny, useless ones that people seemed to like), Blue
Relativity run-of-the-mill.

Any estimates?

I'll guess somewhere around $5900 or so.

I think Chris (Skandocious) had a connection where he called ford to get a copy of an original window sticker? Maybe he will chime in.

I remember buying a '78 Chebbie Silverado Short-Wide 4X4 (that was a trim level back then, like a Lariat) new. It stickered for about $8600, but it was loaded with about everything you could hang on one back then- right down to Power Windows and Locks. Went out the door for somewhere in the low $6's- bigger markup spreads back then.

I think the $6000 range as window sticker for the Ford is about right.

Sorry Aaron you confused two different posts of mine. I do know how to contact Ford in order to get original build sheets but they do not include the cost of the truck:

You may have been remembering that I posted a scanned image of my window sticker. This was just something that the previous owner happened to keep in a file, that's how I have it.

And here I thought Tony was the FTF expert in purchasing short-wides...oh, wait, nevermind.

He just rents 'em. :p

Dear God of all things Holy is that a bowtie pic in your sig, Polarbear?!
You couldn't get Power Windows on a Ford that year. smilietease

Seriously, though- I was in the Chebbie business from 1976 until a few months ago. Dealer groups I've worked for also had Ford franchises for six of those years.
