Just bought a 1966, f100, 6 cylinder with 3 on the tree. It runs but needs
lots of love. Always wanted a 50's truck but could not find one in my price range. I plan on making it a daily driver with some cosmetic work over the
years but pretty much will remain a "rusty" ratrod. It is basically original
with some missing parts like door mirrors, visors, original tail lights etc. Padded dash is toast so will remove and go with the painted dash
Just started on it today...drove it home 20 miles and had to stand on brakes
to make it stop...previous owner claims he did rear brake job but not much
stopping power. When I finally got the fronts apart the left shoes have not touched a drum in many years. The right had nothing but a wheel cylinder
plugged...just a backing plate. I bought new cylinders, shoes, hoses and will need to cut lines and replace them too. Drums turned ok. Will need to find hardware for right side. May put in new master too.
At any rate I will have many questions. ps....found a sticker on engine showing Jasper exchange engine.
