new to you

Hi:
Found this interesting site and as I have a 53 F100 with a 69 351W backed by a C6 and 9" thought that I would register and indulge my habit of wrenching old iron.
Right now I am about to re-wire the Fruck and would appreciate advice on that hairball.
Also replacing the door seal, which I did and it was a total failure as the door would not close no matter how much I adjusted the door. Any suggestions on suppliers and technique?

Welcome aboard...great to have you. Kick back, relax and enjoy the site. I can't help you much with the wiring, but did you try taking a heat gun to the door seal to get it more pliable? New seals have a tendancy to wreak havoc on getting the door closed again until they're broken in.

Nice to have you here, it's a ptetty cool site I just joined a month ago. Like the sound of your truck post some pictures soon if possible, much cooler to see your truck. The seals are probably the right ones but double check in reference to your old correct ones first if not maybe spray them down with WD40 and try them again. smilieFordlogo
