New to an 86 lariat ...

Hello for the first time !! Been reading for a couple months now , so thought would officially come outta the garage and say hi, and I love the into available here... I don't want to ask questions already posted and discussed but I have ALOT of them .. Mainly this darn exhaust heat control valve that isn't there but the hole through the bottom of header and down pipe and vaccum lines or the lack of I'm gathering .... Welcome to FTF, Looks like our trucks are gaining in popularity.

I agree ... Since I've been driving the 86 I see them all the time now!! I just wanna stop them and just look under the hood and see what they have going on... I have a 83 ford technician book.. Well 2, one on engine and one on electrical body and chassis... It's helped a lot for what I've had time to do on the weekend. Looking at the pictures and comparing my Few Vaccum lines, I think I'm missing a few...?

Post up in the Gen 7 Forums and explain what you would like to do and we will help.

Cliff and I are constantly adding to our trucks, and Cliff is doing a complete makeover! He already has made huge improvements to the interior.

Roy your truck was what got me going. It started off with a simple cleaning and evolved into a while I am here moment. :wasntme:

I am hoping to finally have time to work on mine again. It sure needs a lot of attention again. First priority is getting it road worthy again, then take on cleaning it up and making it pretty. Paint is shot, so then I have to take on more to get that back to snuff again. The box needs work, so then painting is not entirely worthwhile until I deal with that somehow. The cycle never ends... ;)

Welcome to FTF! Make yourself at home and post up often. I'm glad to see a good influx of early 80's trucks. I'm really fond of how they look, it's one of my favorite body styles.

:welcome:

Ryan
