New Nerf Bars on BIG WHITE

Lol, so I mounted up my 20 buck universal step bars from the swap meet. 20 for the bars, and 10 in angle iron.

So I got lucky and the front mount didnt have to be made, it bolted right up to the cab pinch weld. I just had to drill 3 holes and bolt it up, I need to be up further, but I would have had to make a bracket and i think it looks fine like that.

The back mount took me a while to think up, but I started to cut some square stock and then it came to me. I used 5" of square stock, welded it to the tube mount, then got it where I wanted it, held the angle iron on the frame and tacked it to the square stock, took it down, full welded it, drilled 2 holes in the angle iron, and put it up, marked holes on the frame, drilled em out, and bolted it up. I will make some support tabs for where you step as my Westins on my F350 have them.

No flat spot, I donno y, Im a get some of that black grip tape and put it where I step.

You didnt see the post I made when I bought it? I have had it a month or so now. Heres some more pics of it.

I fixed the bumper from the pics I have.

Made exhaust and put a tach in.

you should really mount the front of the tubes to the frame and not to the pinch weld on the cab, just because if it is used over time it can bend the pinch weld and put stress on the floor. ive seen it happen before. other then that it looks damn good! yeah im jealous haha

No rust on the red trucks hood. fenders yes, not hood. That pinch is pritty strong. I was jumpin on it to make sure it wouldnt break when my girl gets in lol, friend said it didnt move, my westins are on the body mount bolt up front lol.

I remember you getting the truck - I guess I breezed by anything other than the exhaust. Musta looked all white to me. Congrats on that find! I'm jealous of your pickup bed. I'll be fixing mine up soon, hopefully.

Lol, there is no paint there, but there is no rust there. Its wierd, ill take a close up on it after work today.

i know rust when i see it....or a spot without paint i guess in this case. OF COURSE i had to use grabber green! thats the only color in paint.exe isnt it?
