I've always loved the look of West Coast mirrors on a pickup. (At least, a gen-9 or older pickup, if we're talking Fords.)

I have west coast Jr. mirrors from ebay. Very helpful for seeing but they rust pretty quick. That annoyed me.

What are you going to do with the holes left from the mirrors you have on there now?

Well, paint is on the list for the winter project, but until then some bondo should suffice.

Lotsa luck, these have been almost impossible to find for 30 years.

You can find the mirror heads new and used, but not the mirrors unless you find someone that just removed them.

Since the door shells have different contours, 1967/72 mirrors won't fit properly on 1973/79's.

i dont really like it at all, ive never liked those mirrors...

but to each their own...

Agreed...for big ol mirrors, I always preferred what I have on Red. I dunno what style they are or what Ford name is for them though...so if anyone can fill me in, I'd appreciate it. The ones pictured are just too busy for me, across what's supposed to be a line of sight.

Beyond that, I like what's on my Bronco and Scott's rigs.

The mirrors that are on Red are "Recreation or Bright swing out mirrors". They were on my truck when I got it too.

The ones that are on your bronco and the ones on my truck now are....now I can't find that paper work:hammer: :hammer:

Official Ford terminology: Low Mount Swing Lock

Thank ya sir. After the wreck, I knew it was a bear trying to find a replacement for the passenger side...I ended up salvaging one and had my paint guy recondition it.

How many would ya like? There are FOUR different types, one was still available from Ford the last time I checked.

There are dozens of the other types available at dealers/obsolete parts vendors

And...btw: There is no left or right on low mount swing locks, just spin the mirror head around for whatever side you want to mount the morror on.

I'd like exact replacements for what's on my 77 right now. If someone still has them, I'm buying.

After I'm done with the Bronco, we'll be talking.
