Here we go, probably the last project/modification other than the performance chip for Black Betty here. I will get started tomorrow on these TAILGATE LIGHTS!

They are going on the tailgate, 3 on the each side of the chrome handle. Wired into the tailagate and out the factory wiring hole on the passenger side, through the grommet on the underside of the cab, then wired to a toggle switch next to the toggle switch for the running board lights. Oh and power will be drawn by a fuse tap.

Don't say that Roy! I would cry at the sight of a dent! Although some person at school (with a red car, left evidence behind) did hit the side with a door, you have to look hard to see it though.

Here's an update, after marking, now I am drilling and took off the back panel.

Ok, I had a problem and just figured it out. I mixed up the Power and Accessory blades on the toggle switch. Man Im dumb haha.

Looks like the lenses will stay in place with the connector they have.

That, and they snap in too. They are made very well.

Great job on lining up all the lights, you have to be accurate with your spacing's and since you installed 6 , they have to be straight or you would see it right away!

Thanks a bunch Roy! I used medical cloth tape to line and measure everything up. Drilled and removed the tape for a nice linear install

Im stuck, please see my thread in the electrical section if you think you may be able to help out. Cant get the lights on and nothing but sparks fly from the toggle switch.

Fixed the problem! Everything is working great now! Stay tuned for night pics coming in a few hours
