From what I can tell, it is bone stock right down to the Ford cassette deck. Exhaust is ready to fall off. Converter air pipe has rotted in two. Muffler looks like someone shot it with a shotgun (holey). Exhaust pipes held in place with coat hangers. I want to update a few things on it, but don't have the cash. Instead I have been lurking on a few sites while trying to learn as much about it as I can. This truck is my first Ford vehicle. I have posted some pics of it in my gallery.
Scratch that just saw your gallery, good choice! You will love that 5 speed and the 351 is a strong dependable workhorse motor. I ripped that same combo out of a 93 F250HD for my play truck in my sig.

Hard to say really. Wife is complaining about needing steps to get into it. Personally, I don't have a problem with the height since it is almost a normal step for me (I am 6'6"). I bought a set of black Ford hoop steps for a 97 or 07 crewcab off of e-bay knowing I would have to modify them to fit. Fab don't bother me none. A decent radio would be great, just won't go as crazy as the last truck. Maybe some aluminum rims and better tires. New exhaust. Right now this is my DD so I don't want to go crazy with it.
Out of curiosity, how do I tell which 5 spd is in this truck? I thought there was 2 different 5 spd transmissions available.
If its a 5 speed then you have the ZF 5 speed. It will also have ZF stamped on the drivers side of the tranny.
6'6" clutching in a standard cab, your a better man than i. Im 6'4" and driving the old parts truck used to kill me. Oddly i can drive the manual dodge way better, more cab room in dodge standard cabs in terms of legroom but less width.
I have the bench seat in my extended cab ALL the way back
It really isn't bad. The only problem comes when you have a drink holder hanging on the door. Drink holder went flying first time I had to use the clutch. I hadn't driven a clutched vehicle in almost 15 years. When I first started driving it, I had to keep reminding myself that it wasn't a Mustang and I needed to drive it like a semi. This truck does have plenty of headroom or maybe the seat springs are worn out.
haha i hear that about the cupholder. my old Fsuperduty flatbed at my last job was a standard cab with the cupholder and a 5 speed. I knocked cups/cans/bottles of chew spit all over my legs more than once in that damn think
