Hello, I am Bill, named after my Dad. Tomorrow the '47 leaves his yard bound for my yard on a transport truck. I've never been a huge motor guy, but he had this truck just rotting in his yard so I gave his bud 1500 bucks plus a thousand to ship. You may see this same screen name on other Ford & flathead sites. It's easier than creating a new id for every site. I'm not a hot rodder. I have a stock truck which need some serious attention. I'll thank you in advance for your expertise and patience with my mostly novice questions...

Welcome Bill... sounds like a neat project. I've got a couple of 48's and it's apparent that Ford didn't change much on the chassis when they did the sheetmetal overhaul. If I can help with anything let me know.
