New F250 Ranger Emblems

You did say it before. That's why I mentioned it.

Oh...gotcha...I thought you meant they were sending you a good part. Not saying that it will look bad...because you can't tell on most of the DC blem parts...just saying that I can't stand paying full price when I know I can get it for half price elsewhere. Not to mention, I have no love for LMC...before I knew better, I bought some cowl emblems, they lasted a while (18 months), but eventually split down the middle horizontally.

The only thing LMC is good for is a few small items that some of the other places don't have.

I just got off the phone with them. My missing emblem is being shipped to me. You would think simple math. Invoice-2 items, in box 1 item......hmmmm. But here I am throwing rocks when I live in a glass house.

Time to break out the rocks again. I went to put the hood cowl strip on. A simple thing going the width of the cowl. Mine, on the other hand, was too short. Also the fasteners slide to the left and right. They were supposed to fit in an opening the size of a dime. Theses were meant for a small circle. I know, I know.........stay away from LMC

FYI, I bought my emblems from Dennis Carpenters blemish ebay store and I couldn't find anything wrong with the emblems except on 1 of my XLT emblems there is a slight blemish to the chrome, but will not be noticed at all. The only thing I'm concerned with is how long the paint will last, but my bet is better than any other aftermarket one.

My 2nd Explorer emblem arrived today. It looks fine to me. I also got the correct cowl trim from Dennis Carpenter. Now the rain won't just flow right in the engine compartment.

Once I get some more I'll put them in my photobucket. I also rebuilt the carb. The jets were clogged and there was this crusty stuff in it clogging up other holes. There had to have been water in the gas at some point.

I've had no problems dealing with LMC, I had gotten everything that I have ordered and in the quantities order, so I have found them to be decent people to deal with, as far as the Ranger emblems are concerned if your chrome is good condition and the paint is toast, all you have to do is repaint those painted areas on them, I did that with the emblems on my 78 F-150 Ranger Lariat. I had used Toyota black touch up paint on mine, and that is available from any auto parts store. And they looked like new all I have invested is about 8 dollars and a half hours time.
